This is the best way to put pics on the family page without using up the space:

2. Know where it is in your computer. ( i usually put it right on the desktop screen)

3. Go to keyword "My FTP"--click MY FTP SPACE on the window that pops up

4. Next window that comes up will show you everything in your personal webspace. That's where we want to store the picture. Note the name at the top of this window. This is where youou will find it later. It probably says CONNECTED TO.MEMBERS.AOL.COM.

5. push the UPLOAD button on the bottom of screen.

6. name the file you are going to upload...this is what you want to call it later...short names are best (like sue32.jpg) , remember to have the file extension. (the three letters after the period (.jpg) that tells what kind of file it is......click continue

7. next window comes up, you find the file you want to put there by pressing the select file button...the one from step one. Notice the name at the top of the window it probably says
/(your screenname)

8. Click Send.

The file is now on the net ready to go to a page. Now let's put it there.....


9. open "my family website"

10. click on photos

11 Add collection

12. name collection

13.In the screen that looks like this. you keep the top one where it says browse blank
In the second window that's where your file is on the net to show
and the third window you describe the photo
the next step is the wierdest and pulls it all together. It's about that second window we just talked about. The next step will tekll you what to put there.

You will see a screen like this

14 ok back in step 4 you remeber that name
and in step 7 you remeber that name
and in step 6 you remember that name

The window already has http:// in it. That tells it to get it off the web.
so after that you put in the stuff from step 4
now it looks like this
http://members.aol.com

then you put in the stuff from step 7 so it looks like this. It is your website address
http://members.aol.com/yourname

Now type in the file to look at from step 6 ..remember to start with a /

so now in the second window it looks something like this

http://members.aol.com/yourname/sue32.jpg

click on ADD THIS PICTURE

that's all there is to it...youre done.

You took a picture , stored it on your webpage and shared it on the family page.
