Let's say you have a picture of something on your screen and want to use it somewhere else, like on a web page or as a background. It is easy to do.
1. Get the picture on your screen as clear and as big as you can get it.
2. Press the Ctrl and the PrtScr keys at the same time. This is called a "Screen Shot". It copies your whole screen.
3 Go to a program that edits pictures like "paint". Paint is under Start / Programs / Accessories / Paint
4 Paste it there by pressing Ctrl + V keys at the same time. Or click Edit / Paste
5 Now you see the picture of your screen on the window. Now clip out the part you want to keep. click the dotted box in the top left corner and then click on the picture and hold down the left mouse button and drag it accross the part you want to keep.
6. Now press Ctrl + C or click Edit / Copy
7 Click File / New it will ask if you want to save the image, click NO.
8. do step 4 again
9. You should now see the picture you want to save. Click file/ Save as...
10 notice where it is going to save the picture at. and give it a name. Then hit Save.
That's all there is to it. You now have the picture you want in it's own file to be used anywhere you need it.
